This program builds off the fundamentals learned in “Learn to Play Golf!” Instructor Jeremiah Cooper, aka Coach Jerm or Coach J, will teach you additional skills needed to have a solid grasp of how to play golf. During lessons we will focus on elements of the game including mid and upper irons/hybrids, woods and driver, playing out of the bunker, and speciality shots in a fun and relaxed environment!
You are encouraged to bring your own clubs, but clubs are provided if needed.

Jeremiah Cooper
Jeremiah Cooper, known affectionately as Coach Jerm or Coach J, is a distinguished golf instructor renowned for his commitment to teaching individuals of all ages and skill levels. With over 25 years of experience in the sport, Jeremiah holds a seal of approval from Troon and is recognized as an alumnus and 2012 graduate of the First Tee of Middle Tennessee program, formerly known as The First Tee of Nashville. For nearly four years, Jeremiah served as a coach at Charles T. Myers (CTM), where his dedication to nurturing young golfers' development in both the game and life skills garnered significant attention from parents, locals, and fellow coaches. In 2020 through 2021, he assumed the role of Head Coach and Site Director at CTM for the First Tee of Charlotte chapter, further solidifying his reputation as an exceptional mentor. In 2022, Jeremiah became a contracting instructor through Ratcliffe Golf, Inc. under the guidance of PGA Professional Mike F. Abate at the Impact Performance Golf Learning Center (IPGLC). During his tenure at IPGLC from 2022 until present, he has established his own private instruction business while also designing classes and clinics tailored for individuals of all ages and skill levels, including his popular adult "Learn to Play Golf" class. What distinguishes Jeremiah as an instructor is his unique ability to use relatable visuals from other activities or sports to illustrate concepts in golf, thereby facilitating a more comprehensive understanding for his students. His approach focuses on creating a personalized pathway for each player to achieve their individual goals, with the ultimate aim of instilling confidence in their game. Jeremiah eagerly anticipates the opportunity to work with golfers of all backgrounds and aspirations, embodying his passion for sharing the joy and artistry of the game.
